New Mobile, iPhone!
I bought a new mobile last month during my visit to a software conference in Florida, US. It is the famous Apple iPhone. It is amazing phone that changed my idea about mobiles capabilities. Just google about iphone and look at YouTube.com movies and you will know amazing information about it.
iPhone enjoy large third party applications. It is based on Mac OS X. But remember that several years ago, Apple dropped here Macintosh OS and used Unix as base for all new operating systems. So many of the Unix tools are ported easily to work on Apple machines and hence on iPhone.

Congrats !
Apple always has a different concept to any product it presents. So, people usually say I’ve a Mac, an iPod or an iPhone rather than saying I have a copmuter, mp3 or mobile… That it is why it is unique unlike any other famous brand.
still no Arabic support? I heard that some Saudi hackers were working in unlocking it to work with any network and were Arabizing it.
What about the linux-based Nokia now?
Ahmed Hammad
Thank you.
Regarding Arabic support, there are two options: The first is to use iSMS for Arabic text messages, but everything else is in English. The second is to use “Arabtaller”. It a transparent arabization that will make everything Arabic, even the user interface if you want.
Regarding my Linux based Nokia, my luck is not good. After few months the the device could not boot. I tried to fix it with no sucess. I tried to find Nokia repair center in my latest US visit with no success. It will be very costly to ship it to US to a repair center. So I simply do nothing regarding it now.
My experience with iPhone with real use is good. I don’t need any other device in the near future.

well, videos in in their website and your words push me to buy one,
but i wonder did you try to read a PDF document via iPhone?
on other word do you think I can depend on IPhone as a portable PDF reader?!
Ahmed Hammad
iPhone is really amazing but have some annoying disadvantages:
1. There is no copy and paste!
2. Bluetooth only for the headphone, you can’t send or receive images as example from other phones.
3. The camera can’t record videos, only still images.
Yes, you can read pdf, word and excel. the reader is really very good but, the performance is not good for big files, so I usually divide the file to multiple files and hence have very acceptable performance.

fine, thanks for these valuable information
As I knew, you can install applications that run under linux platform on IPhone mobiles, so you can simply install applications that send files amonge mobiles via bluetooth, also you can install application that record videos 🙂
but till now really I don’t know why IPhones are not supporting java apps till this moment :S
