He is accountable about the project. He is<br \/>\n     the only accountable person in the four leadership roles. He is responsible about the craft quality<br \/>\n     and standards of his\/her team\u2019s work.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">Sidky gave color for each leadership role, for example red color is<br \/>\nassigned to the Team Captain. He showed us physical hats with different colors.<br \/>\nThe only problem is that; the size of hats is a little bit small to be wore by<br \/>\nhumans.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">From the 35 responsibilities, there are 10 that are hard coded to<br \/>\neach role and cannot be changed.&nbsp;<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">First, the project team conduct a workshop with team members. They<br \/>\nlist the other 25 role cards and they collaborate to assign each of these<br \/>\nresponsibilities to these hats\/roles.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">Then, the team self-organize to assign a team member to each role\/hat.<br \/>\nThere may be some additional conversations and negotiation until the team agree<br \/>\non the result. The result will be that, all 35 responsibilities are distributed<br \/>\non the four roles and a team member is assigned to each role\/hat. First Step is to conduct a meeting, understand the problem, and<br \/>\nwhat to do about it now and in the future. There is no blame culture, any one<br \/>\nmentioned in conversation is invited immediately. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">Second Poor Performance case: Just like the first one. I expect<br \/>\nthe conversation will be more difficult.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">Third poor performance case: Here is where management will take<br \/>\naction. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\">He mentioned that, we cannot overlook that, there are poor members<br \/>\nand good members. In some cases, you have to fire poor performing members.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: &quot;times&quot;; font-size: 13.5pt;\">Note: The above description is a representation<br \/>\nof my understanding to what Sidky proposed. Feel free to break the famous Scrum<br \/>\nRoles SM\/PO if it makes sense. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/agilemanifesto.org\/\">Agile<br \/>\nManifesto<\/a>, roles are not included in Agile Values or Principles. It was described<br \/>\nin Scrum and many people find it useful.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-indent: -18pt;\">As Sidky said that,<br \/>\nthis is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shuhari\">RI phase<\/a> of<br \/>\ninventing things. If you are an Agile beginner, be careful and follow some well-known<br \/>\nrecipes, such as Scrum or Kanban.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-indent: -18pt;\">I find it very<br \/>\nself-organizing and matches Agile spirit to let the team collaborate on<br \/>\nresponsibilities and role assignment.<\/span>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -18.0pt;\">\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<span style=\"font-family: &quot;symbol&quot;;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<span style=\"font-family: &quot;times&quot;;\">It was a fun event, Sidky enjoys<br \/>\na sense of humor.
